Regardless of subject matter my work is an intuitive response to my environment and experiences. A comment or a brief thought begins the process, it takes hold and grows. The ceramic medium allows my flesh to form it, my fingerprints to remain: differing so much from the computer, the television and the uniform, synthetic, mass produced nature of modern society. 


Trying to honor the medium, I let the clay to guide subtle lines, retaining the fluidity and expressive nature of the medium. The process itself removes me from the hectic pace of life, allowing me to slow down and become absorbed in the moment.
